Return Challenge¶

Quick Facts¶

Return is a Doom army wave chain. Clear enough army units to spawn Doom Commander, then Doom Warlock, then Doom Aspect as the final boss.

Priority	What To Do
1	Clear the opening Doom army packs. The script advances after more than ten tracked Doom Soldier, Captain, Absorber, or Flagbearer deaths.
2	Kill Doom Commander when it spawns, then prepare for Doom Warlock and another set of support units.
3	Kill Doom Warlock to spawn Doom Aspect.
4	On higher levels, handle Doom Aspect's extra ability, annihilation, infernals, last-ditch infernals, and regeneration before committing to a final burn.
5	Finish Doom Aspect to complete the challenge.

Mechanic	What It Means
Wave counter	The first phase advances after the tracked Doom army death counter passes 10.
Boss sequence	Doom Commander spawns first, Doom Warlock spawns after Commander dies, and Doom Aspect spawns after Warlock dies.
Level scaling	Higher challenge levels add extra Flagbearers, Captains, Absorbers, final boss abilities, annihilation, infernals, and regeneration.
Patrol pressure	A periodic patrol trigger can push surviving enemies toward the group, so do not leave large numbers of adds alive during boss transitions.

Doom Commander	First boss in the sequence after the opening death counter.
Doom Warlock	Second boss. Its death spawns Doom Aspect.
Doom Aspect	Final boss and completion target.
Doom Flagbearer	Support add that appears in several wave packs.
Doom Absorber	Tracked opening-wave add that contributes to the Commander spawn counter.
